The young musicians of the "Music for Future" Foundation visited the Matenadaran named after Mesrop Mashtots to explore the priceless treasures of Armenian cultural heritage. Today, the Matenadaran is one of the largest and richest manuscript repositories in the world, holding one of the most extensive collections of manuscripts and medieval books anywhere. It houses around 23,000 manuscripts, amulets, fragments, and 300,000 archival documents.
During the tour, the young musicians had the opportunity to see ancient manuscripts, handwritten volumes, and valuable historical documents that preserve the centuries-old history of the Armenian people, along with their scientific, artistic, and spiritual wealth.
The museum visit enriched the young musicians’ knowledge and deepened their connection with the centuries-old history and culture of the Armenian people, reminding them that art and science walk hand in hand.
