Sergey Ostrovsky – Violinist, Conductor and Artistic Director of the Ensemble Symphonique de Genève, Sergey Ostrovsky is leading one of his most ambitious projects, bringing together international musicians under an inspired artistic vision. For 27 years, he was the founding first violinist of the Aviv Quartet, winning major prizes (Melbourne, Bordeaux, Prague, Graz) and performing in the world’s leading halls. He now combines his work as a conductor and soloist with guest appearances with orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Israel Philharmonic, Cape Town Philharmonic and others. A professor at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, his recordings appear on Naxos, EMI, Aparté, and Fuga Libera.
