Yerevan Municipality Becomes the General Partner of the “Armenian Virtuosos” International Academy-Festival

From March 26 to April 4, 2026, the Music for Future Foundation will initiate a unique educational and cultural project — the “Armenian Virtuosos” International Academy-Festival, which is set to become one of the most significant events in the field of classical music in Armenia.

The Academy-Festival stands out for its important collaboration, as the Yerevan Municipality has joined the project as the General Partner, contributing to making the program more accessible to young musicians.

Active participation in the Academy will include scholarship recipients and participants of the “Armenian Virtuosos” Educational and Development Program 2025, as well as beneficiaries of the “Born in Artsakh” educational program. Moreover, thanks to the support of the Yerevan Municipality, 70 students from Yerevan’s music and art schools will have the opportunity to participate in the Academy-Festival free of charge, engaging in a high-level educational environment and working with internationally renowned professionals.

Young musicians specializing in violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, saxophone, percussion instruments (orchestral classical percussion), and piano are eligible to apply. Each school may nominate up to 3 students in 3 different specialties, upon submission of an official recommendation letter issued by the school by March 23.

Passive participation in the Academy’s masterclasses is open to all upon prior registration (the registration link will be activated closer to the start of the classes).

Within the framework of the Academy, more than 100 talented young musicians will have the opportunity to receive masterclasses from around 20 distinguished artists and professors arriving in Armenia from different countries. The program includes approximately 350 intensive masterclasses, as well as panel discussions that will serve as important platforms for creative collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The Festival will also feature classical concerts performed by both the faculty and the participating students, transforming Yerevan into a vibrant center of classical music.

The “Armenian Virtuosos” International Academy-Festival is brought to life through the close cooperation between Music for Future Foundation and the Yerevan Municipality, uniting efforts around a shared mission — to develop the creative potential of the younger generation and provide them with educational opportunities that meet international standards.
