Sergey Smbatyan appointed principal guest conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra

Sergey Smbatyan, founder and chairman of the board of trustees of the “Music for the Future” cultural foundation, artistic director and principal conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, has been appointed principal guest conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.

The upcoming concert of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sergey Smbatyan, will take place on February 5.

Sergey Smbatyan has also been the principal conductor of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019.
