Cellist Lyana Ulikhanyan has won the prestigious Landgrave of Hesse Prize at Germany's Kronberg Academy

We are delighted to share that Lyana Ulikhanyan, a 15-year-old cellist and scholarship recipient of Sergey Smbatyan’s "Music for Future" Foundation, has been awarded the prestigious Landgrave of Hesse Prize at the Kronberg Academy’s Cello Masterclasses in Germany.
This year’s masterclasses brought together 185 young musicians from around 35 countries, and among the five cellists honored with prizes, Lyana was the youngest.
Lyana shares the €5,000 prize with American cellist Miles Levine. The prize is awarded to participants who particularly impress the academy’s faculty with their talent and artistic potential.
Lyana has been playing the cello since the age of four and has already received prizes at more than 30 international competitions. She has performed on prestigious stages in Armenia and Europe, collaborating with leading orchestras.
We are immensely proud to see our young musicians reaching international stages and representing Armenia through their talent and dedication.
Congratulations, dear Lyana! Many new heights await you.
