From April 6 to 21, 2025, the “Music for Future” Foundation has organized an educational trip to Dubai, aimed at the professional growth, development, and promotion of international cooperation for young musicians and teachers from music schools in Armenia.
This exceptional educational initiative is exclusively sponsored by GTB Holdings, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Grigor Ter-Ghazaryan, whose support has enabled young talents to gain new experiences and knowledge, as well as grow within a global cultural environment.
Although the trip is still ongoing, the first three days have already been full of creative discoveries and cultural inspiration. Within the framework of the Middle East Classical Music Academy (MECMA), young Armenian musicians are participating in individual masterclasses and lectures conducted by world-renowned musicians.
So far, 14 young musicians have participated in 19 individual masterclasses, where they had the opportunity to learn from celebrated artists such as pianists Giuliano Mazzoccante and Albert Mamriev, trumpeter Victor Calderon, French Horn player Yuya Nishikawa and bassoonist Daniel Ortuño. These sessions provide an invaluable opportunity for young musicians to learn from some of the best internationally recognized performers.
A key component of the trip is also the InClassica International Music Festival, where participants attend magnificent concerts at Dubai Opera in the evenings. Within the first three days, they have already experienced outstanding performances.
On stage at Dubai Opera were the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Conrad van Alphen, featuring violinist Giuseppe Gibboni. Another concert evening was highlighted by an exceptional performance by cellist Edgar Moreau, accompanied by the Franz Schubert Philharmonic and conducted by Thomas Grau. A particularly memorable evening featured the renowned pianist Mikhail Pletnev, once again accompanied by the Tokyo Philharmonic under the baton of Lionel Bringuier.
The trip continues with upcoming masterclasses, concerts, and encounters that will undoubtedly become some of the most significant and memorable days in the lives of these young Armenian musicians.
