Famous cellist Mischa Maisky will hold master classes for the Foundation's scholars on October 7.

Famous cellist Mischa Maisky will hold master classes for the scholarship holders of the Foundation on October 7 (Friday), from 11AM to 13:45PM. The master classes will take place in the large concert hall named after Tatyana Hayrapetyan, at Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School.


The master classes are open to students of musical institutions. Those applicants who didn't pass the scholarship competition can also be present at master classes as passive listeners.


The next day, on October 8, he will perform with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in the framework of the "Armenia" International Music Festival.

Mischa Maisky performs with different famous orchestras and conductors. He recorded about 50 CDs. The six cello suites of Johann Sebastian Bach, the concertos of Johannes Brahms and the cello sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven are important part of his recordings.


In the field of chamber music, he performs with Martha Argerich, Radu Lupu, Gidon Kremer, Janine Jansen, Renaud Capuçon, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Daniel Barenboim and other musicians.
