Famous cellist Gautier Capuçon will hold a master class for the Foundation's scholar on September 2.

Famous cellist Gautier Capuçon will hold a master class for the scholarship holder of the Foundation on September 2 (Friday), from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. The master class will take place in the large concert hall named after Tatyana Hayrapetyan, at Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School.


The master class is open to students of musical institutions. Those applicants who didn't pass the scholarship competition can also be present at master classes as passive listeners.


The next day, on September 3, he will perform with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in the framework of the "Armenia" International Music Festival.

Gautier Capuçon is one of the brightest musicians of his generation.


In 1999, he was awarded the 1st prize at the Ravel Saint-Jean-de-Luz Music Academy, the 2nd prize at the International Cello Competition in Christchurch (New Zealand), the 1st prize at the André Navarre Cello Competition in Toulouse. In 2001, he was awarded the French Victoires de la Musique Award in the category "Discovery of the Year". In 2004, he received the German ECHO Klassik Award and the Borletti Buitoni Foundation Award.


Gautier Capuçon performs with the best symphony and chamber orchestras of France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Sweden, Israel, Australia, Finland, Italy, Spain, Russia, and Japan.
