Scholar Samvel Davtyan is invited to be a member of the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra

"Music for Future" scholarship holder, a young trombonist Samvel Davtyan, will be a member of the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra PCYO) in Tsinandali from August 16 to September 11․

"Music for Future" scholarship holder, a young trombonist Samvel Davtyan is invited to be a member of the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra (PCYO) in Tsinandali in the period from the 16th of August to the 11th of September. The applicants of the project are musicians of the ages 18-28 born in Georgia or one of the other countries of the region, who are invited to perform during 4 weeks in an intense orchestra training program after being selected.


The Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra was created in 2019, it is a full symphony orchestra led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda. The orchestra has been resident at the Tsinandali Festival in Georgia from its first edition in September 2019. Tsinandali Festival is a Georgian non-profit foundation. Its primary focus is on promoting the language of music in the region, the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The Festival draws some of the greatest performers, conductors, composers, music scholars and artists from around the globe to Tsinandali. The Festival is designed to create rare opportunities for young musicians from the Caucasus and the neighboring countries to explore the world of music and advance their musical education through professional seminars and masterclasses taught by some of the brightest names in today’s classical music.

Samvel Davtyan is a first-year student at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where he studies in the class of Pargev Aghabekyan. He is also a student of the "YerazArt" program, teacher: Matias Varela.
