"ARMENIAN"
"VIRTUOSOS"
INTERNATIONAL
ACADEMY-FESTIVAL

The “Music for Future” Foundation will hold the “Armenian Virtuosos” International Academy-Festival in Yerevan from March 26 to April 4 this year, for young musicians aged 13 to 22.

Young musicians in the following specialties can participate in the Academy-Festival: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, saxophone, percussion instruments (orchestral percussion classical instruments) and piano.

The Academy-Festival includes:

  • Active and passive masterclasses

  • Concerts by professors and Academy participants

  • Panel discussions with the participation of Academy professors

  • Introduction and communication with renowned musicians and professors.

Active participation in the Academy-Festival will include scholarship recipients and participants of the “Armenian Virtuosos” Educational and Development Program 2025, beneficiaries of the “Born in Artsakh” educational program, as well as 70 students from Yerevan’s music and art schools. The Yerevan Municipality will ensure that 70 students from Yerevan’s music and art schools can participate in the “Armenian Virtuosos” International Academy-Festival free of charge.

Passive participation in the Academy’s masterclasses is open upon prior registration (the registration link will be activated before the classes).

All active participants are required to attend all concerts and panel discussions of the Academy-Festival.

All active participants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the Academy.

Masterclasses

Within the framework of the Academy-Festival, each participant will have the opportunity to attend three masterclasses (each lasting 50 minutes) conducted by internationally recognized musicians and professors.

The organizers independently determine the professor-student distribution based on the professor's free hours.

Accompanists will not be provided for the masterclasses. Participants are expected to attend with their own accompanists.

It is not mandatory to have an accompanist if the selected piece does not require accompaniment.

Masterclasses will be conducted in English (in some cases, in Armenian or Russian), depending on the professor. No translation will be provided.

Participants are not allowed to record video, take photographs, or make audio recordings during the masterclasses without the consent of the organizers and professors.

If a participant misses a masterclass for personal reasons, no additional session will be arranged for them, and the Foundation may decide to conduct the missed class with another participant.

Concerts

As part of the Academy-Festival, evening concerts will be held featuring the Academy’s professors and active participants.

Participants for the concerts will be selected by the professors based on the masterclasses. The professors’ decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Participants must perform the same program at the concert as presented during their masterclass.

For their concert performance, participants are responsible for providing their own accompaniment (if the piece requires it).

At the professor’s discretion, in addition to the main concert program, participants may also perform in chamber ensembles during the concert.

All active participants of the masterclasses are required to attend all concerts of the Academy-Festival.
