Կենսագրություն

Lyana Ulikhanyan was born in December 3, 2010.

 

EDUCATION

She is studying at the Tchaikovsky music school in Yerevan, Armenia. She is studying cello from the age of 4. 

Her cello teacher in Armenia is David Melkonyan, in Europe – Denis Severin (LISA academy of Music).

In 2018 Lyana won the “Grand Prize” in the competition organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union and received a cello as a prize.

 

In 2019 she was invited by the Russian National TV channel to participate in the “Better Than All” TV -show. In the same year she won the first prize in the “The Muse” online competition and was invited to Athens to perform at the Megaro concert hall. 

By representing Armenia, Lyana received prizes from more than 30 competitions.

As a soloist, Lyana has performed with the Sergey Jhilin’s chamber orchestra in Moscow, as well as the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra, Nova Symphony Orchestra (Vienna), Athens Symphony Orchestra, Russian Sympony Orchestra, Dnepropetrovsk National Philharmonic Orchestra(Ukraine) , Khmelnitsky National Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State Chamber orchestra.

Lyana has taken masterclasses and workshops from Misha Maisky, Marc Coppey, Danjulo Ishizaka, Claudio Bohorquez, Matthijs Broersma (Menuhin School), Alexander Ramm, Brannon Cho, Aram Talalyan, Alexander Chaushyan and Sevak Avanesyan.

Lyana plays on the instrument made by germany violin maker Oliver Radke.

2022 - First Prize at the Edward Mirzoyan Composing Competition ( Armenia, Yerevan)

2022 -Second Prize at the “Nutcracker” international music competition 

2021 - GRANT from Armenian Assambly in Russia

2021- First Prize at the Medici International Music online Competition. (England)
