Music for Future Cultural Foundation establishes
An annual scholarship "Music for Future"
for talented young musicians aged 10-17 in the following specialties:

STAGES OF RECEIVING
THE SCHOLARSHIP

The stages of receiving the Scholarship are as follows:

OF APPLYING FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP


To apply for the Scholarship, the following should be submitted:

  • Application form filled in by the applicant’s Legal Representative (parent or guardian)
    (hereinafter Legal Representative)․
  • Video recording of the program (performance) presented by the applicant.
  • Reference-recommendation from the applicant's musical institution.
  • Copy of the applicant's birth certificate or in case of having a passport, copy of the passport
    (main page and the page with a note about parents/a parent)
  • Certificate about the applicant’s actual place of residence (not the place of registration).
  • Bank certificate about the applicant’s Legal representative’s bank account (in AMD)
    (not a statement, not a balance, but a certificate of AMD bank account details).
    This should be the account to which the Scholarship amount will be transferred
    in case the applicant becomes a scholarship holder.

The abovementioned documents and link to the video recording of the applicant should be sent together in 1 email to the following email address of the Foundation: scholarship@m4f.foundation. The video must be sent as a YouTube link, which must be sent in the body of the e-mail. The subject of the email should be as follows: Application 2021 and the first and last name of the applicant in English (e.g. Application 2021 Petros Petrosyan).

The application form should be filled in either by computer or in a hard copy using block letters (not cursive letters). In both cases, after filling in the application form, it is necessary to sign its hard copy, and send the signed and scanned application form in the way mentioned above.

Submission of the application-form states that the applicant’s Legal representative and the applicant:
- have read, agree and unconditionally accept all the provisions of this Scholarship Regulation,
- without any objection accept the results to be recorded (decision to be made) by the Jury,
- agree that the photos, audio and video materials made within the framework of the Scholarship program with the participation of the applicant are used and distributed by the Foundation.
- give their consent to the Foundation to process the personal data and information provided by them within the framework of this Scholarship program.
- are responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the information and video recording submitted and their compliance with the requirements mentioned in this Regulation.

TIMELINE


The deadline for submitting documents and video recordings
to apply for the Scholarship is
June 17,
2021.

Don’t wait for the last days to apply for the Scholarship.

The applications received will be summarized and the hearings of the video recordings will be held within 1 month after receiving all the applications, after which the applicants will be notified about the Jury's decision in a written form.

After announcing the scholarship holders, contracts will be signed with their Legal representatives within 10 working days.

The Foundation may reconsider the abovementioned timeline depending on the number of applications submitted.


PERFORMANCE EVALUATION CRITERIA


The evaluation criteria are:

  • Compliance of the selected program with the
    participation requirements, age and individual characteristics
    of the participant.
  • Artistic merits of the performing interpretation of
    the composition(s).
  • Level of technical skills of the performer.

VIDEO RECORDING

During the video recording, the applicant must perform as a soloist (piano accompaniment is also allowed) and choose a free program of his/her choice (1 or more compositions), which should be performed from memory and which he/she considers to present himself/herself in the best way as a candidate for the Scholarship.

Duration of the submitted program should not exceed 15 minutes. The video recording must be up to date and must be recorded starting from May 27 of this year. It must be a complete video without edits, must be shot with one camera and in high quality (minimum resolution: HD 720p). When recording videos on phone, the camera must be stored horizontally. In the video, the soloist's instrument (in case of piano - the keyboard), the soloist's head, hands and fingers should be entirely visible.

At the beginning of the video recording the applicant must first present himself/herself, indicating his/her name and surname, and indicate the following: "The video recording is made to apply for the "Music for Future Scholarship"". If the applicant presents several performances, he/she is allowed to submit a separate YouTube link for each performance, however, in this case, at the beginning of each video recording the applicant must present himself in the abovementioned way, and the total duration of all submitted performances should not exceed 15 minutes. In addition, each video recording must meet the conditions mentioned in the points above. It is not allowed to submit a video from the applicant's concert.

The YouTube video should be titled as follows (in English): Applicant’s name and surname-Instrument-M4FF (for example, Petros Petrosyan-Piano-M4FF), and the performance/es should be mentioned in the description of the posted video.

JURY

Representatives of the international
Jury will listen to the video
recordings of the applicants.

The decision of the Jury is final and indisputable (cannot be appealed).

SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS AND
SUPPORT OF SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS

After summarizing the results, a scholarship holder support (encouragement) contracts for 1 year will be signed
with the Legal representatives of the best scholarship holders selected.

The following types of benefits (support) will be provided to the scholarship holder:





Monetary support
For each scholarship holder, for the given year, the Foundation each month will transfer a Scholarship amount (AMD) equivalent to 100 (one hundred) Euro (at the exchange rate corresponding to the day of signing the contract) to the bank account of the scholarship holder’s Legal representative.

Support of scholarship holders outside of RA
Each scholarship holder will have the opportunity to attend a master class of the world-known artists and lecturers once during the given year. The Foundation will cover the expenses of the scholarship holder to attend the master class: air tickets, accommodation and food (abroad) and cost of master class.

Support of scholarship holders provided by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra
During the given year each scholarship holder will have the opportunity to be present at:
- all concerts organized by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in Armenia free of charge (2 free tickets from the Foundation to the scholarship holder for each concert).
- master classes of the artists and musicians hosted by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in Armenia for free.
- rehearsals of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

CONCERTS OF SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS

While being a scholarship holder, children will have concert performances.
